Kalighat Temple

Kalighat Temple is one of the most important Hindu temples dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, where parts of Sati are believed to have fallen. Located near the Adi Ganga, the temple attracts thousands of devotees and pilgrims every day. The present structure dates back to the early 19th century and reflects traditional Bengal temple architecture. It holds immense religious significance and is a major spiritual center in Kolkata.
